I left the company due for another opportunity, but do not regret a minute I spent with CashforCars. Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer. Rate your employer. This company needs to have all managers trained to be more polite, understanding and appreciative of their employees. Favoritism is the new norm of the title department. In less than a 2 months title clerks left their job because of poor management. Pros Good benefits. Cons No days off. Yes There are 3 helpful reviews 3 No.
Copart is a good place to start a front end loader position. They will pay for you to get your hoisting license and you can gain some experience with equipment operation. With that said, they pay about half what other companies pay to operate a front end loader. You are over burrdoned with way more work than you can realistically get done in a safe manner. They have tons of safety rules that you are responsible for up keeping but can't realistically do so and keep up with the work load.
If you bring a safety rule to the attention of a customer and they go in and complain inside management will tell you to just break the rule and do it anyway so the customer doesn't bother them anymore but if they see you break that rule you get in trouble. The yard is over managed and you will get conflicting answers to problems constantly. The guys outside have your back if you do your job well but conflicting rules from inside management makes it difficult to be comfortable on the job.
There is constant turn over, the people you work with change weekly. Copart can be a good stepping stone for other opportunities but I would not consider it a worthy career path outside of upper management. Not much room for growth.
Pros Regular schedule. Cons Very low pay for the work expected. Job description is way more than you apply for. Not worth the pay, for the work you have to do. Pros Benefits offered. Don't make a career out of this. Yet management cares more about hitting their numbers than the people busting their butts everyday to get them those numbers. They want you to work harder, not smarter.
Communication between management, the yard, and the office is mediocre at best. Pros None. Cons See above. They hire new, inexperienced employees at higher rates than experienced employees.
That should tell you everything you need to know about this company. They hire you at a rate and then hire people after you at a higher rate than yours and they will not adjust your pay. Also, management kept adding work without adding employees or increasing pay. Cons Toxic work culture. Management does not care about you or your input. You are not a person to them.
Jobs at Copart, Inc. Data Scientist - Intern. Cyber Security Intern. Remote Customer Service Representative. Product Analyst Intern. Customer Service Representative - Remote. They really try to act like they care about the workers but they don't. It seems like a okay job at first but don't work here.
Highly recommend working anywhere else. Pros sometimes free lunch. Cons treated disrespectfully. Management is horrible, they don't care about family or health. Very stressful! Have a HUGE turnover rate. Proceed with caution at your own risk. Company expects you to bend over backwards for them and don't care two shakes of a tail feathers about you!
Find work elsewhere! Working and training with this company has been a horrendous experience. This company is run very sloppy and training is rushed and nothing is thoroughly taught.
If you're in college, have a family, spouse or a life, I wouldn't recommend working here. They do not respect your time! Working here feels very suffocating, and it's nerve-wrecking. I should also mention that they have mandatory overtime which is 8am-8pm and this could be 7 days a week. If you're not able to work the mandatory overtime more than once, you will be terminated. They also look for you to make 90 calls a day and some calls can go for 40 minutes to 2 hours.
If you have the option to work elsewhere, I would recommend doing so. I dread going to sleep at the end of the day because I know when I wake up I have to work here.
