Great trail! Many downed trees along trail. Decent views, but nothing to write home about. Great for trail running! Pretty consistent hills and turns throughout the whole track which helps spice things up. Out and back. Park at the first trailhead. Entrance fee. Dull, monotone hike. Every turn is the same as the last and you spent a lot of time pushing away overgrown brushes and tall grasses. The trail itself is very doable. We ended up taking the road back to make it loop otherwise it ends at another starting point and you can turn around and go back.

So many wildflowers right now! Lots of shade and greenery! Be prepared for a lot of poison oak everywhere! Pretty views of the lake and still many wildflowers are about. The trail was well groomed and pleasant to hike. There were some narrow steep sections but nothing that would be considered hard. I recommend that this trail be taken in the spring, as there would be some nice creeks running from runoff at that time.
